About Our EFC Academy & Classic Programs
EFC Academy Program
The Academy program is a level of training and play beyond recreational soccer designed to help players improve their technical soccer skills which they will need to play at a higher level, as well as their love for the game. Our Academy teams play most games in nearby desinations including Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC and similar locations.
EFC develops Academy teams at the U10 and U12 age groups for both boys and girls. Our Academy program represents an intermediate step between "recreational" soccer and "classic" (travel) soccer. In order to join an Academy team, each player must attend an evaluation session hosted by our Academy coaching staff. Our core evaluation is most often held in May, while other evaluations may be held throughout the year depending on program need and interest.
If your family or child is interested in being evaluated for the EFC Academy program please email Shea Airey at academy@tysa.us.
EFC Classic Program
"Classic" soccer is the name given to "travel" soccer in North Carolina and includes our oldest competitive teams (U13-U19). EFC's Classic Teams participate in the NCYSA State Classic League, the USYS National League and other appropriate competitive leagues. EFC's Classic Teams accomplishments include winning regional tournaments and league divisions, among others.
Ecusta FC offers competitive tryouts for the program in the Spring and may offer supplemental tryouts in the Fall. All Classic teams require a player evaluation. If your family or child is interested in being evaluated for the EFC Classic program please email Adam Payne at classic@tysa.us.
